Find apartments and rental properties in Maine that welcome emotional support animals. Know your rights under Maine law and the federal Fair Housing Act.
Maine provides ESA housing protections under both federal FHA and the Maine Human Rights Act. The Maine Human Rights Commission investigates housing discrimination complaints. Landlords must make reasonable accommodations for ESA owners and cannot impose pet-related fees or deposits on documented emotional support animals.

We are building a directory of ESA-friendly properties in Maine. In the meantime, remember that under the Fair Housing Act, most landlords are legally required to accommodate your ESA.
Help other ESA owners find welcoming housing. Submit a property and we will add it to the directory after review.
